    • Are the SDGs well-adapted to the most fragile nations?

      Serge Michailof, a researcher at the Institute for International and Strategic Relations (IRIS) and the Foundation for International Development Research (FERDI), discusses the capacity of so-called "fragile" countries to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Based on an analysis of the emergencies faced by these countries, he questions the validity of universal indicators designed for all countries, from the richest to the poorest and most fragile. While criticising the shortcomings of the former Millennium Goals, he regretted that they had not been completed and, once adapted, maintained in the case of the most fragile countries. For the latter, he highlights the prior need to rebuild strong and functional states.

      Laura Brimont, a researcher at the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations (IDDRI), discusses the ownership of the Sustainable Development Goals by States.     • Stakeholders dynamics around the development of France's roadmap for the implementation of Agenda 2030

      Thomas Lesueur, Interministerial Delegate and General Commissioner for Sustainable Development of France, discusses the development of France's Roadmap for the Agenda 2030 implementation. He points out the dynamics of the stakeholders involved in this process and invites, on this basis, a broad mobilization of society to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

      Fella Imalhayene, General Delegate of Global Compact France, presents the Global Compact France's (GCF) contribution to the elaboration of France's Roadmap for the implementation of Agenda 2030. After a review of the founding principles of Global Compact, she shows how the GCF led the working group on French companies' commitment to achieving Sustainable Development Goals, and illustrates this dynamic with some key initiatives.

      Amandine Crambes, an urban engineer at ADEME, presents the challenge of the ownership of the Sustainable Development Goals by urban territories, which concentrate more and more people and activities. She discusses planning and then development issues, providing examples of tools used around the world.
